The Lost Thing

Into the far future there was a race of extraterrestrial beings that live in a different solar system but in the same galaxy.This specie is much more advanced then you are , they can entirely wipe out your WHOLE WORLD, animals and all,but they decided not to.Otherwise they would be the only other beings in the milky way (that are advanced enough to have their own Internet, but in their planet they call it Blaugnaar).These aliens were constantly being  pushed to the breaking point because of those stupid Humans, they keep sending their waste to the aliens planet.I the narrator are neither I am a far more superior being a god if you wish, called Granydor but in your language that translates to toilet.I could destroy both of those planets just by using my mind! Anyway back to the story;

These extraterrestrial aliens call themselves Bleenag or Hope in your language.One day a big sticky astroid like canister came flying towards them.One poor Hope went to investegate and open this canister,it was full of tuurgg (or as you call it poo).The humans did not realise the consequences of melting the alien and their WHOLE planets surface ,and now the planet is unstable,bland and uninhabitable because the tuurgg destroyed all of their resorces inside out.In their rage they used the war suits they created to invade and takeover Earth.Massive space shuttles started to be loaded up then deployed one by one untill their 50 billion planet population was all gone.It took them 2 years to get to Earth but once they did all heck broke lose.The president kept crying to the Bleenag “please this was sent to space in the 1980s. We thought their was no other life their,it's now been 270 years since that dark period ended,humans have changed,we have made peace with other aliens and invented teleportation devices since then.We are a young speice...,so the Bleenag interrupted : “Ack van hiqa quatra!” ,or you better teleport away then, this is our planet now! But for the humans, teleporting without a spacesuit to another planet is basically suicide and they don’t know what would be there waiting for them.So the president replied “I can’t”, so the “Hope” killed him.With that they took over earth,they thought they were making the world a “better place” by forcing the humans to do their bidding,but the humans did not know that the aliens can only take out one person at a time, but that would soon change as they confront a mad scientist to get the most dangerous weapon in the world. As they approached the mad scientist he starts shaking and frothing in mouth until he falls down and dies.The Hope then realised that he poisoned himself as he was the only one who knows how to use it,with this the Hope got enraged and completely destroyed the whole warehouse.But through all the rubble it saw a glimpse of blue paper,as it walked over to it the ground started to shake and from nowhere two steel shackles catch the hopes leg and it gets dragged down into the sand below that alien never returned to its ship.Chaos then broke loose the humans they started to rebel and demand the planet back,one by one the hope were being taken down (all 49,999,999,999 there was a human population of 51 billion.)until there was one left, the strongest one ,the smartest one and the oldest one.He decides that he cannot win this war no matter what happens, and if he lost his whole race will become extinct.With that he decides to leave the planet and go to a moon that is still in our solar system but habitable,so it rebred and now it has an entire civilisation on this planet.They are planning on conquering Earth but this time they will do it slowly,so that they will not make a mistake like this again.

So there you are on you 2 week holiday to New Zealand,all these tv programs talking about Matariki and you have absolutely no idea what they are talking about so I am here to explain it to you.So firstly what is Matariki? Matariki means little eyes in Maori and when it rises it symbolises the Maori New Year,if it is easy to see it means that you can plant crops early because it is a good season to grow them this year and if it is not clear then it means a bad crop season and you have to plant crops later on in the year (By the way Matariki is a star cluster named Pleiades as the Greeks call it).

Why do we celebrate Matariki? We celebrate Matariki because it symbolises the Maori new year,it symbolises new beginnings and it keeps the Maori culture alive.

How do we celebrate Matariki? We celebrate Matariki by learning about it,having festivals,remembering those who died and planting new crops to symbolise new beginnings.

What does Matariki mean? Matariki means little eyes and the story behind it is that the earth god and the sky god had a baby and they did not like this offspring,the wind god so his parents divorced and kept fighting then the wind god literally tore out his own eyes and threw them into the heavens in his rage.

When do we celebrate Matariki? We celebrate Matariki late May to early June.

Matariki is a very important part of Maori culture and it should be celebrated by everyone in New Zealand,I hope this bite sized exclamation helped you to understand Matariki and I will see you at the festival.
